It's been one of those mornings!!! Everytime I turn around, another one is asking for something. "I want juice, I need breakfast, I need to go potty, I need my clothes on, I want to put my own juice in, I want to put my top on the cup..." Do you ever feel like just screaming and walking out the door and not returning until you see your husband coming home from work? I feel like my kids "need" something ALL DAY LONG. I don't know if it is my doing, in the fact that I DO get it for them--I'm sure it is. I just would rather get it than listen to constant asking and whining. Kids learn so fast how to manipulate don't they. Anyway, here's to hoping that the day goes better than it has the last 2 hours!!

"Just Like My Daddy"

We had such a great weekend!!! On Saturday, we got to go to a friends pool and hang out all day--they were out of town and let us just lounge by their pool. The kids loved it. They are definatly water rats. (I don't think they get that from me.) I had to put this first picture in b/c why does every dad think that it is a good idea to teach their boys how to pee "like a man"? It comes back to bite them though when your little boy "whips it out" in public!! Cute little buns. The girls were in the pool all day and Thys was their little gopher getting them the toys they wanted.
Then on Sunday, Dean and I got to go to Mackinaw Island for a work function for Dean. We got to spend 2 nights at the Grand Hotel (all expenses paid!!!). It was beautiful and we had a great time. It was a nice mini vacation for us, since it has been 2 years now since we have gotten away on a vacation together without any kids. But, back to reality tonight as we got home at 5:00 to loud, dramatic, vivacious kids--so quickly you forget how loud houses get with 4 kids!!! It was good to see them again--(umm, when is the next vacation?)

Good Ol' Days

Dean and I had quite the treat this weekend. My parents took the oldest 3 camping, and we were left with ONLY one child for 2 whole days!!! It brought us back to the days of when we only had Elli. It's funny how you get so used to the number of kids that you have. I remember when we only had Elli, we thought our lives were so boggled down and it was hard for us to just pick up and do anything spontaniously. Then when the twins came, we thought that it would be so nice to have that one child back again--then came Tessa--some days I find myself saying "if only we had stopped at 3". But then I look at the 4 beautiful faces I see everyday and realize that God has placed each one of them in our lives for a reason--and each of them has their own unique qualities that make them who they are--and I don't think our lives could be the same if they were not in them. From the "smartest kid in the world" (Elli), to the funniest and most unique kid (Josie), to the softest heart child (Thys), to the baby who lights up the room (Tessa), I praise God for all of them!! Posted by Picasa

Smiling Queen

Ok, so you know that kid that never looks at the camera or never smiles when you say smile---well I have one of those. The far left!! "Josie, look at the camera. Yoohoo, Josie--look here". Oh good, I got her looking. Ok, quickly "Josie smile--everyone give mommy a big smile--stay looking here--smile, say cheese". Crap!! (We'll give tessa a break until she is at least 9mo.).

The Crazy Crew

I know, who in their right mind would decide to take the time and post a blog when they have 4 kids 4 and under? Well, I don't claim to have my mind all there at times, so I must be having a weak moment and starting this process. I thought it would be a good "mind stimulator" for me since my mind is probably at the level of a 3rd grader now a days (no offense to 3rd graders). I also thought that this would be a good way to stay in touch with family out of state and let them see my beautiful babes!!! I am not promising this blog to be of any major technological things, but I hope that I can let you into my crazy, busy, child-rearing, blessed life that I live. Hope you enjoy!!
